Sets the default runtime locale to $locale. This changes the value of INTL global 'default_locale' locale identifier. UAX #35 extensions are accepted.

There should be a list of accepted language codes...
For now, for most languages, try this: "[countrycode]-[languagecode]", and if that doesn't work, wikipedia it.
