apc_incIncrease a stored number

Description

int apc_inc ( string $key [, int $step = 1 [, bool &$success ]] )

Increases a stored number.

Parameters

key

The key of the value being increased.

step

The step, or value to increase.

success

Optionally pass the success or fail boolean value to this referenced variable.

Return Values

Returns the current value of key's value on success, or FALSE on failure

if you set a variable via apc_store and set a TTL,
you have to do a apc_get($key) before using apc_inc().

if you try it without apc_get() your entry will never expire because with apc_inc the variable will never expire!
